Jim Moran Institute hosts 14th annual Leadership Conference

By Lauren Sparling
Entrepreneurs, business leaders and innovators from across Florida came together June 11–13 for the Jim Moran Institute’s 14th annual Leadership Conference, a three-day event packed with keynotes, workshops and the debut of the JMI 30 Awards.
Hosted at the James Museum of Western & Wildlife Art in downtown St. Petersburg, the conference featured speakers like basketball great Charlie Ward, Guy Harvey Foundation CEO Jessica Harvey and entrepreneur Ramon Ray. Sessions focused on growth strategy, AI, compensation models and more, all tailored to support small-business owners and entrepreneurs.
This year’s event marked a milestone for the Jim Moran Institute, which has spent more than 30 years supporting entrepreneurs through education, mentorship and community. The conference gave attendees a chance to connect with peers, learn from industry leaders and leave with practical strategies they can apply to their businesses right away.
“Each Jim Moran Institute conference brings together a vibrant community of entrepreneurs and leaders who are committed to driving innovation and economic growth,” said Susan Fiorito, dean of the Jim Moran College of Entrepreneurship. “It’s inspiring to see the exchange of ideas, connections being made, and the impact that continues well beyond the event.”

On the final day, the winners were announced for the inaugural JMI 30 Awards, which recognized the 30 fastest-growing alumni-led or alum-owned businesses. Inspired by the Seminole 100 awards, the initiative highlights remarkable growth and leadership among JMI graduates.
Anuvision Technologies, Inc., a full-service technology consulting firm based in Jacksonville, Fla., earned the No. 1 ranking. Owner and CEO Summer Vyne was recognized for her outstanding business growth. The final rankings for the JMI Awards were determined by Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) and validated by RVG & Company.
Fiorito congratulated each of the honorees as they accepted their award.
