5272: Urban and Regional Information Systems

This course is designed to provide students with an understanding of how geographic information systems can be applied to planning practice and research. Students are introduced to the basic concepts, structures, and functions of geographic information systems and their applications to planning research and practice as well as to effective communication of planning information through electronic and print media.
