4715: Bike and Pedestrian Planning

In this course, students consider how increasing pedestrian and bike activity can make our communities healthier, more equitable, and is less damaging to the environment. This course explores the various ways that non-motorized travel (i.e., walking and biking) can be made more desirable and safe. This includes planning, design, and implementation of 1) bike and pedestrian facilities/networks, 2) a built environment that supports non-motorized travel, and 3) promotional and educational programs.
