7533: Forensic Pathology

This course allows students to observe and participate in all facets of a metropolitan Medical Examiner's Office. Students participate in a variety of activities, including: death scene investigation, autopsy techniques, as well as gross and microscopic examination of specimens. Students are exposed to forensic toxicology and to thought processes involved in toxicology. Students attend lectures and meetings, read selected assigned topics, and investigate and present a topic. May be repeated within the same term to a maximum of eight semester hours. MD grade only.
